About The Course
This course offers an in-depth exploration of Indonesia’s business environment, focusing on its economic potential, key industries, and socio-political context. Students will gain practical experience through an overseas consultancy project with a company in Indonesia, addressing real business issues in areas like accounting and finance. The program includes company visits, guest lectures, and culminates in a study trip to Bandung and Jakarta. It aims to build skills in problem-solving, teamwork, and navigating complex, real-world challenges while providing insights into Indonesia’s growth trajectory and investment opportunities.
Reflection
This overseas module provided a unique opportunity to bridge classroom theory with practical, real-world experience. Being on the ground in Indonesia added depth to what I had learned academically and offered insights that no textbook alone could provide.
One of the most memorable aspects of the trip was the series of company visits across diverse industries—including garment manufacturing, tofu production, media, and real estate. These experiences not only highlighted how far Indonesia has progressed but also revealed the immense potential for continued growth. It broadened my understanding of Indonesia as an emerging economic force in Southeast Asia.
On a personal level, I’m truly grateful for the friendships I formed and the lasting memories made throughout this journey. The experience pushed me to think more creatively and adaptively while deepening my appreciation of Indonesia’s rich culture and dynamic business environment.
