About The Course
This digital transformation course focuses on digital marketing, combined with other digital tools to help Southeast Asia businesses to transform their marketing & business strategies. It involves design & testing of digital business strategies to improve their competitiveness and business performances in the digital age. In my case, we worked on strategies for a franchising education business to expand into Vietnam through digital transformation.
Reflection
This trip has been special for me because I got to interact and go out with local students from different backgrounds and learn from the life experiences of others. To me, that’s what travelling is all about. Especially in a culturally rich country like Vietnam, getting to know the locals in a deeper, personal level was deeply fulfilling for me.
During our visits to UEH and Van Lang University, I found it interesting to see how the schools were run, and how vibrant the student culture is over there. Everywhere you go, students would smile and say hi to you - that is something you would never find in Singapore. I have seen how they could be happy with so little, and being able to embrace ambiguity and live day by day joyfully. The locals simply embrace the inconveniences of life and work around them together. And it is this kind of mindset that makes life easier to go through.

Thank you for empowering me to go through this learning experience without worry. Above all the company visits, project work and course programs, this trip has helped me develop a different outlook in life. I have seen how the Vietnamese people embrace differences with an open mind and approach friendships with vulnerability and honesty. The way they connect with other people is truly different from what we are used to in Singapore and has taught me the importance of being present and mindful about our interactions with others.
