About The Course
This course aims to help students understand the key theories and strategies in monetary policy and financial markets management, particularly from the Central Bank's perspective. It also seeks to enable students to solve real-world problems for a project partner related to monetary policy or financial markets and learn how to work effectively in a project group. Additionally, students will gain insight into financial markets as well as the business environment and culture in Vietnam through mini cultural activities and themed presentations. The course also focuses on developing potential networking and other life skills through the study mission and by interacting with business leaders in Vietnam during guest speaker sessions.
Reflection
My key takeaways from this experience include gaining a clearer understanding and deeper insight into the complexities and various monetary tools employed by the State Bank of Vietnam to achieve their goals. Additionally, interacting with the local community and students at VinUniversity has deepened my appreciation of Vietnamese culture and lifestyle. This overseas exchange module has highlighted the importance of cultivating international relationships and networking with global professionals and peers. Moreover, immersing myself in a new cultural environment has promoted personal growth and encouraged me to step outside my comfort zone.
