About the Donor - DMK
"If you look closely at a pair of shoes or a handbag, you will see that everything seems to be held together with sewn-on stitches. At DMK, all our products are handmade, and sewing has always been an intricate part of our process that helps to support women to look and feel good for their journey. I hope that the donation of this sewing machine by DMK will pique the students’ interest in the idea of handmade crafts. More importantly, it will be wonderful to see how they can incorporate the idea of sewing in their future SMU-X projects that will support their journey, as well as the journey of others. DMK has been a frequent collaborator with SMU-X, and working with them has been greatly rewarding thus far. I cannot wait to see what other opportunities lie ahead for us and other future collaborators."
