A: You may visit the Makerspace anytime from Mondays to Fridays 9 am to 5.30 pm (excluding Public Holidays) and Saturdays 9am to 5pm. It is closed on Sundays. However, the printers themselves can run overnight.
- Q. How do I make an appointment at Makerspace?

A: To receive guidance on the use of the equipment, you can schedule an appointment with the Makerspace Student Associates in the Telegram group or fill out the appointment form.
- Q: How can I loan an item from Makerspace?

A: Fill out the Loan Request form to loan any of the following items:

- Q: How much does it cost to use the 3D printing machines?

A: It is free to use as these materials are supported by SMU. You do not need to pay for machine time or filament costs under ordinary conditions, unless otherwise informed.
- Q: How do I print using the 3D printer?

A: The Makerspace Student Associates can also 3D print objects for you; just fill out the 3D Print request form. Alternatively, you can do it by yourself on designated printers.
- Q: What materials are available for 3D printing?

A: PLA, PETG, TPU, CPE+. We also have multi-material capabilities.
- Q: How can I apply to be a Makerspace student associate?

A: Our Student Associates are engaged on a termly basis. If you are interested in becoming a student associate for SMU-X Makerspace, please write to smux@smu.edu.sg to express your interest.
