This course is designed to explore knowledge in various disciplines.
The goals for this class are threefold:
1.Absorb knowledge from social issues presented by invited speakers
2. Foster confidence in disseminating information and interacting with speakers during the knowledge communication process
3. Use the knowledge you acquire in this class to identify critical societal issues and offer solutions from a perspective of choice architecture
By the end of the course, students should be able to:
- Understand the general legal framework regulating major corporate deals
- Understand the main legal documents involved in corporate deals
- Understand the business and financial rationales for the legal devices used
- Understand the key issues in negotiating and advising on venture capital investment deals
By the end of this course, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the key concepts in Strategic Management in Digital Media and Entertainment E-Commerce Ecosystem (DMEEE).
- Identify key learning and experiences from the real-life strategic business challenge proposed by Mediacorp and JUMBOGroup.
- Explain how changes in the DMEEE could lead to new high-growth opportunities for Singapore.
- Explain how the differences in the consumer consumption of digital media, entertainment, and e-commerce for Asians and non-Asians will impact the digital strategy in DMEEE
- Identify and analyze potential strategic business opportunities in Asia.
- Develop an innovative digital strategy to compete in DMEEE in Asia.

- Experience real-world problem-solving through a student consultancy project
- Apply classroom learning and research to real-world challenges in order to envision innovative IT solutions using the cloud platform

Upon completion of the course, student will be able to:
- Showcase expertise in executing a project using knowledge acquired from the courses taken from the IS curriculum
- Experience developing of some technology deliverable for an IT system or proof of concept
- Experience working in a team environment with a sponsored project (internal, external or self-proposed) using project management skills experience throughout the courses taken in IS
- Learn about an industry or technology that is related to his selected track not otherwise available in the course curriculum.
- Work on complex and real project used by the project sponsor
