Your favourite/ most memorable project

This isn’t a project per se, but a memorable time that I’d shared with students in a SMU-XO-turned-SMU-X course. Our business study mission to Tokyo, Japan, was cancelled due to the pandemic. Everyone was in low spirits, especially since we’d already invested energies and efforts into preparing for the trip. To make the best of a bad situation, we decided – just for fun – to take some time out of every lesson to explore what might’ve been. We looked at pictures and itineraries. We shared stories of past travels to Japan. We passed around imported Japanese sweets. Even as the pandemic was a constant reminder to be wary, these weekly mental excursions kept us all dreaming of better days to come.
