Writing Guide to Legal Analysis & Writing (Lexis 2017), which discusses the fundamentals of legal research, analysis and writing, with focus on the requirements of Singapore law. The book makes legal analysis & writing accessible to students and newcomers to the law, while remaining useful as a refresher on fundamental principles of legal analysis and writing, even for practitioners.
As part of this book, I provided several practical tips for surviving law school and the first few years of practice. I especially enjoyed writing this part, as I drew many examples from own law school and practice experiences.

I am conducting various projects with a view to improving students’ legal writing. For instance, my SMU-X course Legal Commentaries for Practice (Advanced Legal Writing) looks to improve law students’ writing skills, especially in communicating with the public, through methods such as peer feedback and intensive workshopping of their writing.

Terry Pratchett is hands-down my favourite author. His sheer joy in words, people, and life in general comes through in everything he wrote. He makes you believe in humanity.
