SMU recognises the value of a global experience.

SMU-X Overseas (SMU-XO) project focus on business challenges outside Singapore. Overseas Project Champions work with the project teams virtually until the students travel overseas for a two-week in-country immersion experience as a team, led by the faculty advisor. The travel experience is usually towards the end of the SMU-XO programme (alternatively, travel could take place during mid-course if it is more appropriate) and is in conjunction with the final presentation to the Project Champion. Final presentations are in May and December on site. It is necessary that the Project Champion has a representative who is dedicated to the success of the project and readily available to the team weekly.
